Has China become a capitalist society?

leave a comment »

This question seems to be asked by more and more people around the world. China’s economy is beginning to look more like a market economy, not a socialist economy.

What do you think? Are China evolving into a western society?

My thoughts about John McCain

My thoughts about John McCain, republican presidential candidate from last years presidential election.

John Sidney McCain III (1936-) the republican presidential candidate from last years presidential election continues to work in the American senate, representing Arizona.

After last years presidential election in which he toured with vicepresident candidate Sarah Palin, he has come over the loss, and now keeps working dedicated for his home country. He also keeps supporting the war in Iraq, a war currently being priorittised in second line in favor of Afghanistan, which Obama prioritises the most.

“We must win in Iraq. If we withdraw, there will be chaos; there will be genocide; and they will follow us home.”
John McCain

This seems to make way for a great debate bewteen the former presidential candidates, and will propably slow down on Obamas plans of total withdrawal.

John Sidney McCain III still plays an important role in American politics, at his age of 74.

My thoughts about Barack Obama

My thoughts about Barack Obama

It’s been a year and a half, and Barack Obama continues to keep his promises, even in these years of financial desperation. He’s well on his way pulling the US troops in Iraq out, and recently an exit-date for Afghanistan was made.

The US economy keeps raising, although not with a very big rate the previous months, it clearly rocketed in june/july 2010.

I find Obamas succesful story very inspiring, and it proves that USA is still “the land of opportunities”. Speaking of that, Obama also criticized Arizonas recently approved immigration law, now being the toughest in all 50 states of America. The law effects 400.000 legal immigrants hard (read my other post, Arizona, a police state?), and furthermore illusion the American dream for immigrants.

Obama keeps democracy prevailed in the states, with no extremistic or harsh comments, as we might could have expected from John McCain.

I think that the following years will prove to be even more struggle for Obama, but he can take it.

And for people calling him a communist, go read a dictionary! Obama’s socialist-democratic, and he helped a lot of people with the health insurance reform (although it is an discussable subject, I would have kept things as they were, though).

So, let’s have a poll! Let’s see how many likes Obama, and who would’ve chosen McCain as president.

Arizona, a police state? Full analysis with video!

The last couple of weeks there has been a widespread debate about the newly approved immigration law in Arizona. The law prohibits certain races of establishing themselves in the state, and is in no way democratic, or written in American spirit. Barack Obama goes as far as calling the law “misleading”, which I agree with him on. The law is going to affect the 400.000 legal immigrants in Arizona hard. I thought they moved on from being small-racist, but no, they still live as was it 1864, not 2010.

I despice the problem, since i recall America being “the land of the free”, “the land of opportunities”, and not to forget America is a nation of immigrants.

I would like to see America keep going with it’s previous politics, as these are the ones that made them, and makes them great.

What’s your thought about the immigration law of Arizona? I strongly dislike it, but maybe that’s just me.
